Johney Kim has been working in the consumer electronics and technology licensing business for over 14 years, both domestically and internationally. He co-founded Global TechLink ASIA with Mr.Andrew Duncan, CEO of Global TechLink, specializing in multi-media, digital convergence device and application technology on a global basis, including Interactive TV, Digital streaming, and Consumer Electronics.
From 1989 to 2003, Mr. Kim worked as Senior Marketing & Product Planning Manager Consumer Electronics for SA MSUNG Electronics. His responsibilities included market research, product development,technology outsourcing, sa les channel development, business management and marketing for CE products such as VCR, STB, DVD, DVD-Rec and Home server. He also has a deep understanding and outlook for small-sized digital convergence device such as photo viewer, e-book and etc.
Mr. Kim also co-worked for many technology-oriented company, MPEG chip vendors and Venture company in Silico n Valley San Jose for global product development roles and technology outsourcing. He also has a deep experienc e of business relations and markets in both Asia and north America.
Mr. Kim earned his honors degree in Electronic Engineering from KumOh Tech. University and postgraduate qualific ations in Marketing and Business from SIMT (Samsung Institute Management & Technology).
